Job summary

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field with 7+ years of experience.
• Strong ability to read, interpret aerospace drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Experience with ERP systems and design software (AutoCAD, Inventor, Creo, SolidWorks).

Responsibilities

• Creating internal and deliverable technical material, data and documentation.
• Develops quotes, cost estimates and models balancing performance, cost, manufacturability and schedule.
• Assesses existing processes and drives improvements.
• Prepares and leads technical proposals and discussions including design reviews.
• Interprets customer specifications, statements of work, drawings and performance requirements.
• Keeps up with industry developments through publications, conferences and trade shows; interacts with vendors and institutions.
• Maintains regular customer and vendor contact at technical and commercial levels.
• Recommends improvements and acquisitions for processes, technology and equipment.
• Supports complex or non-standard application development and first-time builds.
• Supports product transition from development to production with defined requirements.
• Collaborates with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain and Program Management for aerospace programs.
• Supports root cause analysis and corrective action for material performance issues.
• Provides advanced technical troubleshooting for cutting accuracy, material handling, or application fit/form/function.
• Operates with high autonomy in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment.
• Performs other assigned functions.
