Job summary

Empirical Systems Aerospace, Inc. (ESAero) is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support efficient, high-quality production. You will translate designs into manufacturable assemblies, develop work instructions, and collaborate with IPTs to improve processes and reliability on the shop floor.

The role emphasizes documentation, training, safety, and cross-function collaboration to deliver consistent performance for aerospace products. On-site in San Luis Obispo, CA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing or mechanical engineering.
• 2–5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Hands-on manufacturing environment experience is required.
• Ability to extract information from a computerized inventory system.
• Experience translating designs into manufacturable build instructions.

Responsibilities

• Translate engineered designs into manufacturable assemblies.
• Develop and maintain assembly documentation and work instructions.
• Improve manufacturing processes to reduce cost and variation.
• Collaborate with design, procurement, QA and assembly teams.
• Train personnel on tools, equipment and assembly techniques.
• Ensure safety and manufacturing quality on the floor.
