Job summary

Makino is seeking an Aerospace Applications Engineer to support the sales force with a focus on aerospace structural and engine components, performing test cuts, machine demonstrations, and customer startup and training across the Mid Central region (TX, KS, OK, MO).

You will work with multi-axis (3, 4, and 5 axis) machining on state-of-the-art Makino machines, set up NC programs, build tooling, and provide on-site applications support to customers and the sales team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or equivalent in a technical field; 3–5 years aerospace experience.
• Experience with 3–5 axis machining and setup/programming.
• Willingness to travel regionally (30–40%).

Responsibilities

• Perform test cuts and machine demonstrations for aerospace parts.
• Provide applications engineering support to sales by visiting customer facilities.
• Set up NC programs, build tooling, conduct prove-outs, and handle test-cut requests.
