Job summary

SKF is seeking an Application Engineer for our NA Aerospace team in Falconer, NY. You will lead the technical relationship with customers, translate needs into SKF offerings, prepare proposals and first-tier drawings, and evaluate risks to ensure reliable product performance.

The role requires an engineering degree (mechanical or aerospace preferred), knowledge of rolling bearings and aerospace materials, strong communication skills, and willingness to travel up to 30% within the US.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required; Mechanical or Aerospace preferred.
• Knowledge of rolling bearings, airframe bearings, aerospace materials desirable.
• Strong written and spoken communication of technical information.
• Ability to speak and write in English well.

Responsibilities

• Develop customer technical needs and translate to SKF offerings.
• Prepare proposals and first-tier drawings for product platforms.
• Evaluate technical risks and verify product selection.
• Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service within the account team.
• Perform preliminary engineering calculations and analysis for complaints or requests.
