Job summary

Safran in Garden Grove, CA seeks an Aftermarket Planner 2 to join its planning team. You will manage planning activities to ensure timely repair, overhaul and spare parts services, creating production schedules, material requirements and resource plans for low-volume/high-mix workflows.

Collaborating with procurement, engineering and operations, you will optimize inventory, execute design changes and respond to urgent AOG situations while upholding aerospace standards and revision control.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in production planning or material planning in aftermarket.
• Proficiency with MRP/ERP systems and inventory management.
• Knowledge of AS9100/ISO9001 standards and ability to read aircraft drawings.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develops and manages production workflows in an aftermarket aerospace planning environment.
• Plans for low-volume, high-mix part numbers, prioritizing repair, overhaul and spares management.
• Manages material requirements based on BOMs and overhaul procedures.
• Expedites repair and refurbishment processes to address schedule delays and urgent AOG situations.
• Reviews and interprets engineering drawings to calculate material needs and make make-vs-buy decisions.
• Collaborates with procurement to initiate purchase requisitions and ensure part availability.
• Optimizes inventory levels by managing item master data, safety stock, and reorder points.
• Coordinates intercompany transfers and oversees distribution orders to meet global timelines.
• Maintains and validates multi-level BOMs for service kits and repairs.
