Job summary

Safran Cabin is seeking a Planning Manager to lead a team of planning professionals, responsible for scheduling, planning and inventory activities. This role develops production plans, schedules workflows, and ensures customer delivery requirements and S&OP are met, while ensuring ERP/MRP data accuracy across the business system.

The role also oversees production planning and management, drives continuous improvement, communicates needs to the planning team, and mentors staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with experience in planning, scheduling and inventory.
• 5 years in progressive planning roles in aerospace, automotive or mechanical manufacturing.
• 2-5 years leading teams and experience with MRP/ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Implement, execute and maintain world class strategies for planning, scheduling, inventory and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee production planning and management activities within the business unit.
• Develop production plan, budget and timeliness according to production specifications.
• Determine production requirements based on plant capacity and production specifications.
• Communicate needs and objectives to the planning team along with training, mentoring and assisting team members.
• Plan work flow and schedules for production departments.
• Monitor production status and ensure timely delivery.
• Identify delays and adjust schedules to meet deadlines.
• Establishes and maintains premier customer service.
• Assist in production risk assessment and mitigation activities.
• Maintain inventory levels to meet company goals.
