Job summary

Agile Space Industries in Durango, CO seeks an experienced Additive Manufacturing Operations Lead to oversee LPBF production, drive process development, and lead cross-functional teams across Engineering, Production, Materials, and Quality for space-flight hardware.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in manufacturing with 2+ years in management, preference for metal additive manufacturing
• Aerospace or highly regulated production environment experience required
• Strong knowledge of metal LPBF processes and materials (Inconel, Titanium, Copper)
• Proven experience optimizing manufacturing flow and leading root cause analysis
• Leadership experience managing technical teams in prototyping or production
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and specs

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day LPBF production floor operations for safe, efficient execution
• Manage production schedules across prototype, development, qualification, and production programs
• Oversee machine setup, build execution, powder handling, post-processing workflows
• Ensure repeatable, high-quality production of printed propulsion components
• Maintain spare parts, consumables, gas supply, and inventory
• Drive equipment uptime, maintenance, and facility readiness
• Define and monitor operational KPIs (yield, throughput, cycle time, scrap)
• Partner with Design Engineering during DfAM reviews
• Facilitate AM process development and control of process parameters
• Lead root cause analysis for print failures and corrective actions
• Maintain configuration control of build files and AM processes
• Oversee downstream processes (heat treatment, HIP, machining, inspection)
• Define AM processes per aerospace standards
