Job summary

Agile Space Industries in Durango, CO, is seeking a seasoned additive manufacturing engineer to lead LPBF process development and production-readiness initiatives. You will collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and quality to scale prototypes into full-scale production while optimizing throughput and yield.

The role requires strong expertise in process optimization, root-cause analysis, SPC, and hands-on work with LPBF systems and build prep tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or extensive work experience.
• 7+ years in additive manufacturing, manufacturing engineering or related roles.
• Hands-on LPBF system experience and build prep tools.
• Strong skills in statistics, SPC, and data-driven improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing docs aligned with AS9100 and specs.
• Lead transition from prototype to full-scale production and monitor processes.
• Drive AM process development and post-process workflows to improve throughput.
• Perform CAPEX, process capability, root-cause analyses, and improvements.
• Mentor junior staff and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve design for manufacturability.
• Ensure safety and proper handling of materials; drive continuous improvement.
