The role emphasizes leadership in AM process development, production readiness, LPBF parameter optimization, and collaboration across cross-functional teams, with opportunities to mentor engineers and operators and to advance safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in Additive Manufacturing, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • 7+ years of experience in additive manufacturing or related roles.
  • Hands-on experience with LPBF systems (Trumpf, EOS, SLM, Renishaw or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with build prep software (3DXpert, Magics, TruTops Print) and in-situ monitoring.
  • Strong background in process optimization, root-cause analysis, and SPC.
  • Proven ability to scale additive manufacturing from R&D to production.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing documents per AS9100 and specs.
  • Collaborate with teams to transition from prototype to full-scale production and lead continuous build execution.
  • Lead AM process development and production-readiness activities, including LPBF parameter development and post-process workflows.
  • Conduct process capability, root-cause analyses, risk evaluations to reduce variation and costs.
  • Use data-driven methods to monitor performance and drive corrective actions.
  • Develop machine installation, operation, and qualification standards.
  • Collaborate with printer manufacturers to drive process improvements.
  • Mentor junior engineers and technicians to foster continuous learning.
  • Implement safety standards for handling hazardous powders and maximize feedstock life.
