Job summary

Corvid Technologies LLC in Mooresville, NC seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead design, integration, and verification of electromechanical actuation for control surfaces of rockets and missiles.

You will drive architecture, simulate with MATLAB/Simulink, develop drive electronics, and ensure safety and flight qualification through HIL testing and DFMEA. The role requires cross-disciplinary collaboration in a fast-paced environment with impactful defense technology work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related STEM).
• 3+ years of relevant experience in EMA or servo systems with safety-critical hardware.
• Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink and SPICE for modeling and analysis.
• Experience with aerospace buses CAN, RS-422/485, Ethernet.
• Hands-on lab experience with test equipment and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Architecture & Design of drive electronics and sensors for actuation systems.
• Requirements management for system-level vehicle specs to detailed subsystems.
• Control & Drive integration for embedded electronics and fault-detection logic.
• Safety & Reliability analyses including DFMEA and fault tolerance in flight hardware.
• Testing & Verification support: bench, ESS, iron bird, and HIL testing.
• Compliance & Qualification activities against aerospace standards.
