Corvid Technologies LLC is seeking a hardware-in-the-loop and embedded engineer to join our GNC team across Mooresville, NC or Huntsville, AL. You will model and simulate high-speed aerospace vehicles in real-time, bridging desktop simulations with flight hardware and expanding HIL capabilities.

The ideal candidate combines systems thinking with hands-on simulation experience, including embedded systems, GNC algorithms, and flight hardware integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science; Master/PhD with GNC focus preferred.
• 5 years of embedded systems experience or HIL development in GNC, robotics, or autonomous systems.
• Proficiency with C++, Python, Linux, and Git.
• Solid understanding of embedded systems and aerospace vehicle modeling and numerical methods.
• Experience with GPS simulation and HIL/SIL testing and test benches.

Responsabilités

• HIL development and maintenance: mature HIL systems, integrate 6DOF flight simulation with test apparatus.
• Develop new vehicle dynamics models for real-time simulations with new aerodynamics and actuators.
• Integrate new GNC hardware with flight hardware and define HIL requirements.
• Perform V&V activities in real-time scenarios and support reviews with HIL data artifacts.
• Modeling & simulation: understand aerospace M&S for 6DOF vehicles and assist developers.
