Job summary

Corvid Technologies is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the design, integration, and verification of electromechanical actuation systems for guided rockets and missiles. You will bridge engineering groups with hardware, ensuring optimal performance through hardware-in-the-loop testing and flight qualification.

The role requires strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in complex hardware/software interactions, with emphasis on fault-tolerant design and cross-discipline

Qualifications

  • US citizenship required and eligibility for Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field; 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Expertise in electric motor drives, power electronics, thermal batteries, or sensor feedback systems
  • Proficiency with modeling/simulation of dynamic electrical/mechatronic systems (MATLAB/Simulink, SPICE)
  • Experience with schematic capture and cable/harness design tools (Altium, SolidWorks Electrical)
  • Experience with aerospace communication buses (CAN, RS-422/485, Ethernet)
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, power analyzers, dynamic load benches)

Responsibilities

  • Architecture and design of electrical and electromechanical actuation components (drive electronics, sensors, power nets)
  • Translate system requirements into electrical and electro-mechanical specifications
  • Integrate control and drive for embedded electronics and fault-detection logic
  • Perform DFMEA and safety analyses to ensure fault tolerance for flight requirements
  • Support testing and verification (bench tests, ESS, iron bird, HIL)
  • Assist compliance and qualification activities against aerospace standards (DO-160, MIL-STD)
