Job summary

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking a highly skilled 5-Axis CNC Programmer with extensive aerospace manufacturing experience. The role focuses on developing, optimizing, and maintaining complex machining programs for precision aerospace components, leveraging Mastercam and Vericut for verification.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of aerospace CNC programming experience, hands-on Makino machining center knowledge, and live-tooling CNC lathe capabilities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC programming experience in aerospace manufacturing.
• Proven experience programming complex 5-axis parts for aerospace applications.
• Proficiency in Mastercam (advanced multi-axis required).
• Experience with CNC program verification using Vericut.
• Hands-on experience with high-performance Makino machining centers.
• Experience programming CNC lathes with live tooling (mill-turn).
• Strong ability to read and interpret aerospace drawings, CAD models, and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and optimize CNC programs for 5-axis aerospace components using Mastercam.
• Refine multi-axis tool paths for complex geometries and hard-to-machine materials.
• Program and support CNC lathes with live tooling for mill-turn aerospace applications.
• Assist in setup, prove out, and validation on Makino machines and lathes.
• Perform Vericut simulations to ensure collision-free, efficient processes.
• Maintain comprehensive program documentation and revision control.
