Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial in Wichita, KS is seeking an experienced 5-axis CNC Machinist to independently set up and operate advanced 5-axis equipment for aerospace components. The role involves precision milling, inspection, and adherence to tight tolerances in a fast-paced program.

The ideal candidate will have deep 5-axis machining expertise, blueprints/GD&T proficiency, and a proven track record in high-quality aerospace production. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with 5-axis CNC machining.
• Set up and operate complex CNC equipment with minimal supervision.
• Strong understanding of drawings, GD&T and specs.
• Experience with precision measurements and inspections.
• Proven ability to produce high-tolerance aerospace components.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Important: candidates with only 3- or 4-axis experience may not be considered.

Responsibilities

• Independently set up and operate 5-axis CNC equipment.
• Manufacture aerospace components per engineering specs.
• Perform milling, drilling, grinding, honing, threading, contouring.
• Conduct first-piece inspections and production verification.
• Support quality and safety standards; document results.
