Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Database/Software Developer to design, develop, and modernize data-driven applications for the FAA’s Aeronautical Information Services, based in Oklahoma City with possible telework. You will collaborate with FAA stakeholders, develop new capabilities, test, deploy, and maintain database-driven solutions across the software lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, information technology, or related field with 8+ years of experience.
• Extensive experience designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise software applications.
• Proficient in modern programming languages and frameworks such as C#, .NET, Java, Python, JavaScript, or equivalent technologies.
• Strong experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL) and with complex SQL queries, procedures, views, and interfaces.
• Experience building or supporting database-driven web, desktop, or enterprise applications.
• Experience modernizing legacy software and translating business needs into software solutions.
• Ability to work independently, provide technical leadership, and mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain data-driven software applications for aeronautical information distribution.
• Customize, configure, and integrate COTS applications as evaluated by the Aeronautical Data Team.
• Develop solutions to modernize legacy apps requiring technology refresh.
• Gather and document functional/technical requirements with stakeholders.
• Maintain technical documentation and participate in design/code reviews and project meetings.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members.
