Qualifications

• Fully licensed Neurologist in the U.S.
• ABPN board certification in Neurology.
• Minimum ten years of professional experience.
• Permanent, full, unrestricted medical license in a U.S. state.
• Credentialing and privileging requirements for Wright-Patterson AFB.
• Joint Commission and MAJCOM credentialing requirements.
• Experience with U.S. Air Force, aviation, or special-duty personnel preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment and independent consultation skills.
• Ability to review neurologic medical records in detail.
• Ability to analyze and summarize complex clinical information.
• Support instruction, lectures, and educational activities.
• Participation in scientific, statistical, and research investigations.
• HIPAA/IRB privacy and information-security compliance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct occupational and aeromedical neurologic chart reviews.
• Provide clinical consultations for neurologic and aeromedical concerns.
• Serve as an independent specialist for the Neuropsychiatry Branch.
• Offer expert consultation on neurologic and aeromedical matters.
• Review and maintain relevant patient information and records.
• Analyze and summarize complex clinical cases.
• Provide recommendations on aeromedical neurology issues.
• Support evaluations involving aircrew and other personnel.
• Collaborate with physicians, researchers, and staff.
• Deliver professional instruction, lectures, and presentations.
• Participate in case reviews and professional conferences.
• Assist in designing and supporting scientific investigations.
• Analyze research findings and present results.
• Engage in research planning and literature reviews.
• Protect HIPAA-sensitive and IRB-controlled information.
• Comply with Air Force, USAFSAM, and WPAFB requirements.
• Perform other related aeromedical neurology duties.
