Job summary

Bering-Alaka`ina Holdings, LLC based at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, seeks a Part Time Flight Surgeon to support the 711th HPW & USAFSAM/FEC Aerospace. The role conducts medical examinations, FAA certification processes, and aeromedical evaluations for aircrew and military personnel.

The candidate must hold current board certification in Aerospace Medicine or related fields, maintain clinical privileges, and bring at least 10 years of active-duty flight-surgeon experience, including training

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of active-duty Flight Surgeon experience.
• Experience applying Air Force medical standards for aerospace evaluations.
• Able to train future flight surgeons and aerospace medicine specialists.
• Maintain clinical privileges in a qualifying board specialty (32 hours/year).
• ANG/AFRC credentials may be used in civilian role with proper requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct medical examinations and determine fitness for flying duties.
• Perform FAA examinations and process certification documentation.
• Identify required consultations to support aeromedical recommendations.
• Analyze medical standards per MSD, DAFMAN 48-123, and guides.
• Document examinations and forward to certification/waiver authorities.
• Provide aeromedical briefings and training for multiple courses.
