Job summary

Defense Health Agency is seeking a Physician specialized in Aerospace Medicine to provide expert clinical leadership and care for aircrew and related personnel. You will contribute to aeromedical evacuation processes and oversee the Flight Medicine team, including PAs and NPs.

The role requires an accredited residency in Aerospace/Preventive/Occupational Medicine, a current US license, and strong leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an accredited residency in Aerospace Medicine, Preventive Medicine, or Occupational Medicine.
• Current, active medical license in the United States.
• Experience in aeromedical evacuation and flight medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide aerospace medical care to flyers, missile crews, and others with special medical qualifications.
• Evaluate and medically clear patients for Aeromedical Evacuation.
• Provide clinical and administrative leadership to the Flight Medicine team.
• Guide and supervise PCM team personnel including physician assistants and NPs.
• Participate in continuing education programs and peer review.
