Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking an Aeromechanical Engineering Intern to join our Summer Internship Program. You will work closely with experienced engineers on airframe structures, CAD modeling, prototyping, and testing to gain hands-on aerospace experience.

The program emphasizes collaboration, rapid learning, and exposure to both military and commercial applications in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design and development of airframe structures for UAV systems.
• Create and modify 3D CAD models using SolidWorks.
• Support basic mechanical analysis with guidance from senior engineers.
• Participate in prototype fabrication, 3D printing, and lab testing.
• Help create and revise drawings, BOMs, and documentation to standards.
• Contribute to technical presentations and design reviews.
• Learn about engineering trade-offs and material selection.
• Support design improvements and troubleshooting for current programs.
