RTX Corporation, a leading aerospace and defense company, seeks a Turbine Aero-Thermal Systems Intern at Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford, CT. You will join an Aerothermal group to analyze and develop turbine systems, working closely with senior engineers on cooling, sealing, and heat-transfer challenges.

As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience in aerothermal engineering with exposure to CFD, thermal analysis, and design trade studies, contributing to performance improvements and design

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and actively enrolled through the internship.
• Completion of at least 30 credits prior to the internship start date.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.

Responsabilités

• Analyze internal air systems to assess cooling and sealing effectiveness.
• Perform thermal analysis of rotating and static hardware components.
• Conduct CFD analysis to evaluate turbine system performance.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on fluid dynamics and heat transfer challenges.
• Prepare technical documentation and present findings.
• Assist in trade studies to explore design options and optimize system capabilities.
• Transform raw test data into actionable design insights.
