Job summary

RTX in East Hartford, CT, is seeking motivated engineering interns to join the Aero Thermal Fluids (ATF) organization. The role supports aerodynamic design, analysis and performance of components in Pratt & Whitney engine programs, including military exhaust systems and propulsion acoustics.

You will perform CFD and thermal analyses, analyze test data, and collaborate with aero, design and structures teams.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related STEM field and actively enrolled through the completion of the intern session.
• Experience with CFD modeling and/or CFD tools (Fluent, Star-CCM+, CharLES or similar).
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.

Responsibilities

• Perform aerodynamic and thermal analyses to support engine development.
• Process analytical and test data to inform design decisions and root cause analyses.
• Coordinate analyses and communicate results within a cross-discipline team (aero, design, structures).
