RTX Technology Research Center in East Hartford is seeking an experienced Aero-Thermal Test Engineer to join the Aero‑Thermal Testing Group. You will perform experimental testing, assemble instrumentation, operate test facilities, plan programs, ensure data validity, and communicate results to the team.

Requires a university degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 3–5 years of related experience; experience in data acquisition, fluid/hydraulic systems, and P&ID drawing tools like

Formación

• Typically requires a University Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related engineering field, or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
• Minimum 1 year with experimental test execution and test facility operations troubleshooting.
• Minimum 1 year experience in system design, fluid dynamics, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Minimum 1 year experience with Data acquisition and Control systems, and test instrumentation.

Responsabilidades

• Join the Aero-Thermal Testing Group and support experimental test programs.
• Plan and execute day-to-day test operations, ensuring data validity and accurate instrumentation.
• Perform system maintenance, safety audits, and ensure compliance with Environmental Health and Safety rules.
• Communicate results effectively with the team and support multi-shift test activities when required.
