Job summary

RTX offers an aerospace internship in East Hartford, joining the Engine Design & System Integration discipline within ASDI/EDSI. The role focuses on internal air system architecture, risk assessment, and integration with other disciplines, providing hands-on experience with multidisciplinary engine systems.

The position requires a STEM degree track, 3.0 GPA minimum, and experience in Aerodynamics/Thermodynamics/CFD, with onsite work and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related STEM major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship session
• Experience with Aerodynamics, Thermodynamics, Computational Fluids Dynamics
• Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA

Responsibilities

• Perform internal air system flow and bearing load analysis
• Support engine test and validation of air system predictions
• Perform trade studies
• Work with the module center ATS practitioners to incorporate their models in the engine system model
