Requires a BS in Engineering/Physics/Math with 2+ years in thermodynamics or aerodynamics or MS/PhD; US citizenship is mandatory. Relocation assistance is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Engineering, Physics or Math.
• US citizenship required.
• 2+ years in Thermodynamics or Aerodynamics (BS) or higher degrees

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and simulate gas turbine system components and sub-systems using meanline, throughflow, and CFD.
• Work with performance organization and system-level design to define requirements and bid maps.
• Collaborate with aerodynamics, heat transfer, and mechanical design teams to interface with aerodynamic design.
• Plan and execute component and sub-system rig tests for product or technology development.
• Assemble and report CFD results, experimental data, and first principles analyses into a cohesive understanding against requirements.
• Support wider aerodynamics disciplines with capability acquisition via methods, coding, and collaboration.
• Practice continuous improvement by updating best practices, automation, and eliminating wasteful steps.
