Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking an Aeromechanical Engineer II to develop UAV vehicle designs from concept through production. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, present findings, and ensure designs meet schedule and budget constraints.

The role requires hands-on testing, understanding of materials, and proficiency with SolidWorks, MS Office, and GD&T standards. ITAR/EAR compliance is part of the process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent combination
• 2-5 years of technical design experience
• Strong proficiency in mechanical design and analysis tools
• Experience with machining, composites, sheet metal, or assemblies
• Familiar with testing (lab, flight, environmental) and documentation standards

Responsibilities

• Designs vehicle components from concept to production
• Resolves design challenges with multidisciplinary teams
• Presents results and findings formally
• Assesses design deficiencies and impact of changes
• Completes tasks within schedule and budget
• Performs other duties as assigned
