Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Cutting Technician in Vista, CA to mark, reproduce, and assemble material kits in the AERO CUTTING department. The role requires proficiency with Patternsmith and the Gerber Machine, and a commitment to meeting customer demand.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position with weekend/overtime availability. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (or equivalent), 1–2 years related experience, strong communication, and the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.

Qualifications

• U.S. Person status required due to export control.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• 1–2 years of related experience.
• Proficiency with Patternsmith preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail while producing accurate high-quality work.
• Team player in fast-paced environment.
• Must thrive in a team-oriented, deadline-driven environment.
• Able to stand for extended periods.
• Effective communication with coworkers and management.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Occasional weekends and overtime required.
• MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat) proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Cloth laminating and bagging /consolidation.
• Sharpening cutting tools to ensure performance.
• Operating cutting and grinding equipment.
• Trimming excess material to meet specifications.
• Responding to changing priorities to meet customer demand.
• Producing quality products with minimal waste.
• Participating in internal training as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
