Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. in Mobile, AL is seeking an experienced Machinist II (Contract) to set up and operate CNC mills and lathes, and to work with Catia/CAM programs. You will interpret blueprints and GD&T, ensure first article quality, and collaborate with Engineers and Quality teams.

The role requires 5+ years in a machine/fab shop, aerospace materials experience, and a strong Safety culture. On-site role with full manufacturing support on the Airbus Way.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a machine/fab shop.
• 5+ years CNC/manual machinist experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 3-axis and 5-axis CNC mills and lathes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and work orders.
• Write and edit CNC programs via Catia or CAM software.
• Verify conformance with SPC and inspect first article.
• Select cutting tools and establish cut sequences.
• Maintain safety and security requirements.
