Job summary

XKIG in Seattle, WA seeks an experienced Aerial Lift Trimmer to trim, prune, and remove trees using a bucket truck. Prior aerial lift operation in a tree care setting and a valid driver's license are required; candidates will be dispatched by IBEW.

This union-represented role emphasizes safety, equipment maintenance, and teamwork. The position requires willingness to travel for storm restoration and to pass background and drug screening, with EEOC compliance and ADA accommodations.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate knots, ropes, and rigging knowledge.
• Able to identify tree species.
• Must be familiar with electrical hazards near conductors.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe practices and help enforce rules.
• Prepare truck and materials daily as directed by General Foreperson.
• Perform professional tree maintenance as directed by General Foreperson.
• Clear and trim trees and brush away from utility lines; remove branches.
• Clean up and dispose of all debris.
• Maintain and keep track of all tools and equipment used.
• Practice climbing and tree maintenance skills to improve.
• Assist other crew members in daily activities.
• Safeguard employees and public by enforcing safe practices and keeping area clean.
• Perform duties for storm work as needed.
