Job summary

Ervin Cable Construction, LLC is seeking a Laborer Telecom Aerial to support an Aerial Telecom Crew in installing and maintaining fiber/telecom cables and materials in Gadsden, AL. The role involves providing tools and materials, equipment movement, and ensuring proper notifications before work begins.

Qualifications include being 18+, valid U.S. work authorization, a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and a willingness to become certified as a pole climber if needed.

Qualifications

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Certified pole climber or be willing to become certified
• Previous labor experience in telecommunications is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed
• Reposition or move bucket trucks, trailers, or equipment as directed
• Ensure that door-tagging and resident notifications for construction activities are completed before starting work each day
• Stock, clean, and maintain all company vehicles and equipment
• Perform hand digging using shovels and mechanical tools
• Direct/flag traffic flow in line with local DOT guidelines
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned
