Job summary

Ervin Cable Construction LLC is hiring a Laborer Telecom Aerial in Gadsden, AL. You will support an Aerial Telecom Crew with installing and maintaining fiber/telecom cables and materials.

Responsibilities include supplying tools and materials, moving equipment, coordinating traffic safety, and performing digging and on-call duties. A valid driver’s license and US work authorization are required; pole climber certification or willingness to certify is expected.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• U.S. work authorization for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, or relevant work experience.
• Certified pole climber or willingness to become certified.
• Previous labor experience in telecommunications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed.
• Reposition or move bucket trucks, trailers, or equipment as directed.
• Ensure door-tagging and resident notifications for construction activities are completed before starting work each day.
• Stock, clean, and maintain all company vehicles and equipment.
• Perform hand digging using shovels and mechanical tools.
• Direct/flag traffic flow in line with local DOT guidelines.
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.
