Job summary

The Walton County Sheriff's Office is seeking a PRN Flight Paramedic to provide high-quality pre-hospital advanced life support in an on-call capacity, with at most one 24-hour shift per week. The role emphasizes patient assessment, triage, and treatment under medical direction, ensuring safe, compliant transport and continuous readiness.

You will maintain licensure and certifications, participate in ongoing education and multidisciplinary collaboration, and support neonatal/pediatric transfers

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3 years related experience in advanced EMS.
• Valid Driver License.
• Florida Paramedic License and National Registry EMT-P.
• BLS/CPR, ACLS, and PALS or equivalent.
• Flight Paramedic Certification (FP-C) and CCP-C.
• ITLS or PHTLS.

Responsibilities

• Provides pre-hospital advanced life support and documents patient care.
• Maintains licensure, certifications, and ongoing education; attends six programs yearly.
• Participates in outreach and education activities.
• Serves as a flight resource for neonatal/pediatric patients when transporting.
• Participates in pre-mission briefings/debriefings and safety checks.
