Looking for an opportunity to make a difference? Then you may have found your next career move. We’re looking for an Aerial Lineman Trainee to join our team and help connect America. The Aerial Lineman Trainee will perform aerial cable installation procedures and techniques, including the placement of poles and anchors.

What you’ll do…
  1. Install and repair aerial telecommunications cable
  2. Safely use hand tools and equipment such as wrenches, drills, ladders, lanyards, saws, lashers, climbing hooks, and more
  3. Operate mechanized equipment such as bucket trucks, digger derricks, excavators, and more
  4. Set up safety perimeter using signage, cones, safety barriers
  5. Flag traffic when required
  6. Understand separation and clearance regulations
  7. Work aloft safely using climbing hooks and ladders
  8. Maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all regulations, procedures, and policies
Who we are looking for…
  • At least 18 years old
  • Authorized to work in the United States for this company
  • Able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card
  • Valid standard Driver's License or Class A Commercial Driver's License
  • Previous construction experience, preferably in the telecommunications industry
  • Knowledge of established aerial cable installation procedures and techniques
  • Ability to climb telephone poles and work in a bucket truck, work aloft, and climb poles up to 40 feet
  • Ability to perform all duties in telecommunications construction (pole transfers, maintenance builds, new build, cable installation, over lash, strand construction)
  • Ability to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed with or without assistance
  • Ability to work overtime, after hours, on weekends, for emergencies or on-call
  • Maintain a safe work environment
  • Work in all weather conditions
  • Travel when required
  • Experience with splicing active & passive equipment is a plus
