Qualifications

Job description

Looking for an opportunity to make a difference? Then you may have found your next career move. We're seeking an Aerial Lineman Trainee to join our team and help connect America. The Aerial Lineman Trainee will perform aerial cable installation procedures, including the placement of poles and anchors.

What you'll do...
  1. Install and repair aerial telecommunications cable
  2. Safely use hand tools and equipment such as wrenches, drills, ladders, lanyards, saws, lashers, climbing hooks, and more
  3. Operate mechanized equipment like bucket trucks, digger derricks, excavators, etc.
  4. Set up safety perimeters using signage, cones, and barriers
  5. Flag traffic when required
  6. Understand separation and clearance regulations
  7. Work aloft safely using climbing hooks and ladders
  8. Maintain safe working conditions according to all regulations, procedures, and policies
Who we are looking for...
  1. You are at least 18 years old
  2. You are authorized to work in the United States
  3. You can pass a DOT physical exam and have a valid medical card
  4. You possess a valid Driver's License or Class A CDL
  5. You have construction experience, preferably in telecommunications
  6. You know aerial cable installation procedures and techniques
  7. You can climb telephone poles and work in bucket trucks up to 40 feet high
  8. You can perform duties like pole transfers, maintenance, new builds, cable installation, over lash, and strand construction
  9. You can lift/carry 50 lbs regularly, up to 75 lbs as needed
  10. You are willing to work overtime, after hours, on weekends, or on-call
  11. You can work in all weather conditions and travel as required
  12. You may have experience with splicing active and passive equipment
