Job Description: Aerial Lineman

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Aerial Lineman to join our team. As an Aerial Lineman, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of overhead telecommunication lines. This role involves working with fiber optics, and other broadband infrastructure, primarily in elevated and outdoor environments. You will be expected to work at heights and operate specialized equipment to complete projects safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with aerial systems, possess strong technical knowledge, and have a strong focus on safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Aerial Line Installation & Maintenance:

  • Install, repair, and maintain fiber optic cables, and other telecommunication equipment.
  • Ensure all installations and repairs comply with local, state, and national safety standards and codes.
  • Perform splicing and termination of fiber optic cables, coaxial cables.

• Equipment Operation:

  • Operate bucket trucks, aerial platforms, and other vehicles and equipment used for overhead line installation and repair.
  • Perform regular maintenance and inspections on aerial equipment, including vehicles and tools, to ensure they are in good working order.

Requirements:

• Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Aerial Lineman, with hands-on experience working at heights and with aerial equipment.
  • Previous experience with fiber optic installation and electrical systems is a plus.

• Licenses/Certifications:

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.
  • Lineman certification preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • First Aid/CPR certification (preferred but not required).
