Job summary

TelCom Construction, LLC is seeking an Aerial Foreman for Des Moines, IA. You will oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of telecom aerial systems, ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance in field settings.

You will guide less experienced crew members on-site, manage daily work orders, and be ready to travel for storm response on short notice. Strong safety focus and relevant experience required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ and authorized to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma or GED or relevant work experience.
• Valid state's driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Able to pass a DOT physical exam and obtain a valid medical card.
• At least 3 years of related work experience; willing to become pole climber certified.
• CDL Class A license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure successful installation of fiber/telecom cables, materials, or support structures according to codes, regulations, and customer requirements.
• Safely operate equipment such as bucket truck, digger derrick, and excavators.
• Ensure work areas are safe and traffic flows smoothly while on the job.
• Safely work at heights using climbing hooks and ladders.
• Safely use hand and power tools like wrenches, drills, and saws.
• Provide guidance and support to team members as needed.
• Be ready to travel for storm response on short notice.
• Complete daily work orders and crew checks to document productivity and safety compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you'll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company

• Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card
• At least 3 years of related work experience
• To be a certified pole climber or be willing to become certified
• CDL Class “A” driver license is preferred

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, at heights in confined spaces and alone in remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, use ladder, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift objects greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use keyboard and mouse
