Job summary

Global Medical Response in Kerrville, TX is actively seeking a Flight Paramedic to join our air-transport team. You will deliver high-level pre-hospital and in-flight care, complete meticulous patient-care documentation, and uphold strict safety standards throughout missions.

The position requires EMT-P license, BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP, and FP-C within 24 months, with NREMT-P possibly required by area. Competitive starting pay and benefits welcome experienced flight personnel.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years' experience in a 911 or critical care setting.
• Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma certification required prior to flight status.
• Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C), required within 24 months from date of hire.
• NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Completion and submission of electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight within the specified time frame.
• Daily base checks, including narcotic count.
• Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact until handoff to the receiving facility.
• Maintain competency in knowledge and psychomotor skills through ongoing training.
• Maintain documentation of licensure, certifications, continuing education and safety procedures.
• Knowledgeable in use and routine maintenance of equipment and supplies.
• Maintain positive relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals and the public.
• Serve as a medical flight team member and participate in pre-mission briefings and debriefings.
