Job summary

Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC, based in Dallas, seeks a field service technician to maintain and operate aerial devices in the company fleet across a defined service area in Texas. You will carry tools and parts to field locations, ensuring devices stay within uptime targets and safely perform inspections and repairs.

The role emphasizes reading hydraulic and electrical schematics, performing inspections and repairs, and communicating outputs to customers and supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Fluid Power Society certification encouraged.
• Valid Class A CDL license or ability to obtain one in a timely manner.
• Extensive knowledge of hydraulic systems for aerial devices and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand hydraulic schematics.
• Read and understand electrical schematics.
• Diagnose maintenance requirements on aerial devices to determine repairs.
• Perform inspections on aerial devices and hydraulic systems used to power those units.
• Perform repairs to aerial devices and hydraulic systems after inspections.
• Verify repairs are successful by visual and operational tests on each unit.
• Effectively communicate the repairs made and results to the client/users.
• Provide feedback on specifications and equipment to management for future changes.
