Job summary

Altec is seeking a career-minded equipment mechanic to service aerial devices, digger derricks, cranes, and other heavy equipment across our nationwide network. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and quality repairs, with overtime potential and a path for career advancement.

You will diagnose failures, replace electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components, consult manuals, and document inspections.

Qualifications

• Basic education requirements include a High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills are essential.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and heavy lifting up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform replacement of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components.
• Utilize all technical support resources (manuals, HowFactory, etc.) in troubleshooting and identifying parts.
• Perform Unit Condition Inspections and Reports.
• Maintain work area in a safe, clean, and orderly manner.
• Perform all tasks in a manner fully consistent with Altec Safety practices and procedures.
• Advise supervisors of situations that may impact a customer relationship.
• Provide accurate and sufficient information on all required documents.
• Demonstrate Altec Company Values.
• All other duties as assigned.
