Job summary

Air Methods CBS in Payson, AZ seeks an experienced EMS professional to provide pre-hospital advanced life support as part of a critical care helicopter transport team. You will perform assessments, interventions, and documentation across the transport continuum, while maintaining safety and pursuing ongoing education.

The role requires 3+ years in a busy 911 system, with preference for prior critical care transport and flight experience, and offers strong training and advancement opportunities

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3+ years related experience or equivalent
• Bachelor’s degree in health-related field preferred
• Minimum three (3) years’ recent experience in a busy 911 system
• Previous critical care transport and flight experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact to patient transfer; maintain thorough patient care documentation.
• Practice within defined scope of practice per state regulations and Air Methods CBS; maintain competency.
• Attend at least six educational programs annually.
• Maintain equipment and supplies onboard aircraft; report equipment failures and ensure repair.
• Participate in pre-mission briefings/debriefings; assist pilot as requested; ensure safety throughout transport.
• Perform as flight team member and comply with safety standards.
