Job summary

Air Methods CBS in Casper seeks a registered nurse with 3+ years of critical care and flight experience to deliver lifesaving care during helicopter transports. You will assess, triage, and treat patients under Medical Directors' guidelines, documenting care and coordinating with pilots and base staff.

This role requires flexibility, on-call rotations, and the ability to work in a fast-paced aviation environment. A $10,000 annual location stipend is provided to Casper-based staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Bachelor’s degree in health-related field preferred but not required.
• Minimum three (3) years of recent critical care/emergency nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within scope of practice and maintain patient care documentation.
• Maintain competency through ongoing training, licensure, certifications, and continuing education.
• Report equipment failures and ensure timely repairs; keep supplies onboard aircraft.
• Attend pre-mission briefings and post-mission debriefings; assist with liftoff checklists and radio/navigation tasks.
• Serve as a flight resource for neonatal/pediatric patients as needed.
• Participate in outreach, education activities, and staff orientation.
