Job summary

Amarillo ISD is seeking a dedicated staff member to supervise students in the Alternative Educational Placement. You will maintain a structured environment and provide behavioral and academic support to students placed there for disciplinary reasons.

The role requires a High School Diploma, an associate degree or 48 college credits, and a Texas Educational Aide Certificate. You will work closely with teachers and parents to ensure safety and progress in a busy campus setting.

Qualifications

• Two years experience with secondary school age students and parents preferred.
• Must meet the district's academic assessment requirements under ESSA.
• Handle with Care certification or training provided by the district.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students assigned to AEP at all times.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers in ELA, Math, Science and History to maintain an orderly classroom.
• Provide ongoing academic and behavioral support to students.
