Vanguard Charitable Endowment Program is seeking a hands-on AEO Web Content Specialist to edit and optimize web content for AI-ready, search-optimized performance. You will collaborate with IT, manage Jira tickets, and help maintain the website roadmap while keeping pages current and accessible.

The ideal candidate brings a solid background in content and AEO, comfort with reading technical data, and the ability to communicate clearly with multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, English, Journalism, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in web content, SEO/AEO content optimization, digital marketing, or closely related function.
• Demonstrated ability to edit and optimize content for search engines and AI-powered answer experiences.
• Fluency with AI writing and content tools for content acceleration with editorial judgment.

Responsibilities

• Edit incoming content to meet AEO, SEO, and E-E-A-T standards before publication.
• Restructure content for AI answer engines and featured snippets.
• Implement metadata, internal linking, FAQ structure, schema markup, and image alt-text optimization.
• Use AI tools to accelerate content rewriting while maintaining editorial quality.
• Conduct content audits to identify gaps and refresh content as needed.
• Create optimization briefs and editorial guidance for contributors.
