Job summary

First Class Healthcare Staffing Management, LLC is seeking an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) to perform pre-intake screening, data collection, and emergency response within a correctional healthcare setting.

The role includes preliminary triage, vital signs documentation, and coordination with RN/Provider teams. Requires AEMT program graduation, current licensure, and BLS; ACLS preferred. On-site work with shift flexibility and compliance with safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Advanced EMT (AEMT) Program.
• At least one year of related experience in an emergency medical or clinical environment.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable per regulations.
• Must have and maintain current Advanced EMT (AEMT) licensure within GA or AL.
• Must have or attain a BLS Certification prior to first day of employment.
• ACLS Certification preferred.
• Experience working in a correctional facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts initial intake screening by gathering medical history and baseline vital signs.
• Flags high-risk individuals for comprehensive health appraisals, validated by RN or Provider.
• Logs objective clinical data such as pulse and temperature for monitoring tools.
• Hand off raw clinical metrics to an LPN, Paramedic, RN or Provider for scoring and interpretation.
• Responds to acute medical incidents, performing BLS and limited ALS, including IV access.
• Follows predefined emergency standing orders per facility protocols.
• Coordinates emergency care with nursing staff and EMS transport.
• Maintains security of medications and environment during administration.
• Ensures confidentiality and regulatory compliance in all duties.
• Performs other duties to support facility goals.
