International SOS Government Medical Services seeks an Advanced EMT (AEMT) or Paramedic to deliver urgent and emergency medical care on Wake Island, working with a site physician. You’ll support patients with injuries and illnesses, respond to emergencies island-wide, and participate in medical evacuation coordination.

Requirements include current AEMT/Paramedic licensure, BLS and ACLS certifications, and at least one year of emergency experience. U.S.

Qualifications

Current, unrestricted U.S. license as an Advanced EMT or Paramedic.
Nationally accredited U.S. BLS and ACLS certifications.
Minimum one year of Advanced EMT or Paramedic experience in a busy 911 system.
Ability to assess and treat adults in prehospital settings and administer medications per protocols.
Proficiency with EMR and ability to work independently in emergencies.

Responsabilités

Assess and treat patients in urgent and emergency situations within scope of practice.
Assist physician with procedures, patient monitoring, documentation, and condition changes.
Respond to medical emergencies outside the clinic and coordinate medical evacuation.
Educate patients on health decisions and provide first aid and emergency instruction.
Maintain supplies, equipment readiness, inventory, and clinic operations.
Participate in emergency response training and follow clinical protocols.
