Job summary

Jan Care Ambulance is seeking an EMT-I to support our West Virginia operations. You will provide compassionate out-of-hospital care, transport patients, and assist in community EMS efforts with adherence to state protocols.

The role requires 18+, high school diploma, EMT-I and CPR certifications, and a valid driver’s license. You will participate in training, stand-by events, and continuous quality improvement within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• High School diploma or equivalent
• EMT-I certification and CPR certification required
• Background checks including criminal and driving history will be conducted
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

Responsibilities

• Attend orientation and EMS operations training sessions
• Provide out-of-hospital care and safe ambulance transport per protocols
• Safely lift and move patients and equipment
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff
• Operate and inspect EMS equipment and ambulances
• Respond to emergency calls and standby events
• Maintain professional appearance and perform station and vehicle upkeep
