Job summary

Jan-Care Ambulance in West Virginia seeks an AEMT to provide safe, compassionate ambulance transport and on-scene care under state protocols. You will perform non-emergency transfers, stand-by at events, and respond to emergencies with a focus on patient dignity.

Responsibilities include orientation sessions, equipment checks, lifting heavy loads, clear communication with teams, and documenting patient care in OEMS systems; EMS teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• EMT-I certification preferred.
• Experience with EMS operations and ambulance protocols is valued.

Responsibilities

• Attend orientation sessions and EMS operations training.
• Provide out-of-hospital care and safe ambulance transport under state protocols.
• Lift and carry up to 125 lbs alone, 250 lbs with assistance.
• Communicate clearly with coworkers, patients, and medical staff in English.
• Document patient information in an approved state OEMS record system.
