Job summary

Sevier County EMS is seeking an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) to provide advanced pre-hospital care and patient transport in a two-person team. You will respond to dispatched calls, assess patients, administer treatment, and transport to the nearest or most appropriate facility.

The role requires maintaining documentation, adhering to protocols, and ongoing training. Candidates must hold Tennessee AEMT and CPR certifications, a TN Class D with F endorsement, and be able to work

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• AEMT certification issued by the State of Tennessee.
• Valid CPR certification.
• Ability to pass a physical and drug screen.
• Class D Tennessee driver's license with F endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Respond to dispatched calls and assess patients and scenes.
• Provide advanced emergency medical treatment within AEMT scope.
• Safely transport patients to the appropriate medical facility.
• Operate EMS vehicles in two-person teams and maintain equipment.
• Complete patient care reports and documentation promptly.
• Participate in public education, outreach, and training.
• Maintain readiness and cleanliness of vehicles and supplies.
• Adhere to medical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
