Job summary

The Paramedic position with Sevier County Emergency Medical Services provides advanced life support and patient transport across a range of emergency and non‑emergency situations. You will respond to calls, assess patients and scenes, and deliver ALS treatment including airway management, cardiac monitoring, IV/IO therapy, and medications, while safely transporting to appropriate facilities.

Ideal candidates hold Tennessee Paramedic certification and CPR, can pass a physical and drug screen, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Paramedic certification issued by the State of Tennessee.
• Valid CPR certification.
• Ability to pass a physical and drug screen.
• Tennessee Class D driver's license with F endorsement in last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and non-emergency medical calls following EMS protocols.
• Assess patients and scenes to determine ALS care and transport decisions.
• Provide ALS treatment including airway management, monitoring, medications, and IV/IO therapy.
• Operate cardiac monitors and other ALS equipment; document care and transport details.
• Maintain vehicle readiness and participate in public education and training.
