Global Medical Response is hiring a Helicopter Pilot in Alabama to provide critical air medical transport with a 7/7 schedule. The role requires rotorcraft IFR capability, FAA medical clearance, and thousands of flight hours to ensure safe patient transfers.

Qualifications

  • Current Rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate.
  • Helicopter instrument rating.
  • Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate.
  • 2,000 total flight hours; 1,500 helicopter hours; 1,000 helicopter PIC hours.

Responsibilities

  • Transport patients safely with a medical team.
  • Ensure aircraft readiness per FAR and Air Evac Lifeteam requirements.
  • Maintain regulatory documentation and record keeping.
  • Communicate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners.
  • Record change board details per protocol during shift handovers.
  • Maintain required certifications and ongoing training.

Responsibilities

  • Working with a team of medical expertstosafelytransport customers to and fromlocations and facilities
  • Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatchesas described in the appropriate manuals,includingallFARand Air Evac Lifeteam requirements, andaircraft cleanlinessduties
  • MaintainaccurateAir Evac Lifeteam and regulatorydocumentation andrecord keeping
  • Effectively communicate and collaboratewith dispatch, flight crews,facilities,and partners
  • Provide shift change infoto successive pilotandteam followingprotocol forrecordingAir Evac Lifeteam change boarddetails
  • Accountable tomaintainrequiredcertifications and ongoing training

MinimumRequirements

  • Current Rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate
  • Helicopter instrument rating
  • Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate
  • 2,000 Total Flight Hours
  • 1,500 Helicopter Hours
  • 1,000 Helicopter PIC Hours
  • 500 Turbine Helicopter Hours
  • 100 Helicopter Night Flight Hours (Aided or Unaided)
  • 230 lb Weight Limit (including flight gear)

  • B206 Aircraft Experience
  • High School Diploma/Equivalent or Higher
