Job summary

Global Medical Response is hiring a Helicopter Pilot for Air Evac Lifeteam's medical transport services in Texas. The role features a 7/7 schedule, on-duty housing, and a total compensation package with a $106,511–$117,162 base range plus a $15K sign-on bonus, subject to eligibility.

Responsibilities include safe transport with medical teams, aircraft readiness, documentation, and cross-team communication. FAA licenses and flight-hour milestones are required for consideration.

Qualifications

• Current Rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate (required).
• Helicopter instrument rating (required).
• Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate (required).
• 2,000 Total Flight Hours (required).
• 1,500 Helicopter Hours (required).
• 1,000 Helicopter PIC Hours (required).
• 500 Turbine Helicopter Hours (required).
• 100 Helicopter Night Flight Hours (Aided or Unaided) (required).
• 230 lb Weight Limit (including flight gear) (required).
• B206 Aircraft Experience (preferred).
• High School Diploma/Equivalent or Higher (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Work with a team of medical experts to safely transport customers to and from locations and facilities.
• Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatches in accordance with manuals and Air Evac Lifeteam requirements, including aircraft cleanliness duties.
• Maintain accurate Air Evac Lifeteam and regulatory documentation and record keeping.
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners.
• Provide shift change information to the next pilot and team following protocol for recording Air Evac Lifeteam change board details.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training.
